Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-09

Welcome to TaiwanRide ("we", "us", "our"), providing airport transfer, charter tour, business car, city-to-city transfer, and exhibition/concert transfer services. By completing a booking through our website, live chat, LINE, WeChat, or by phone, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service. If you book on behalf of someone else, you must ensure they are aware of and agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

We provide airport transfer, charter tour, business car, and event transfer services through partner fleet operators and licensed drivers, using legally registered R-plate (rental) or T-plate (taxi) commercial vehicles. The operator and driver assigned to your trip will be confirmed after booking.

2. Booking Process

  • Book 7–30 days before departure; book at least 1 month ahead for public holidays or Lunar New Year
  • Submit your request via our website form, live chat, LINE, or WhatsApp
  • Our team will reply with a quote as soon as possible, with all fees clearly itemized and no hidden charges
  • Your booking is confirmed once you accept the quote and pay a 30% deposit
  • By 9 PM the night before departure, your assigned driver will call or message you via LINE to confirm the time, location, and trip details, and send a photo and license plate for identification

3. Pricing and Fees

Your quote includes: driver fee, vehicle fee, fuel, tolls, parking, driver's meal allowance, and passenger liability insurance. The following additional charges may apply and will be clearly itemized on your quote:

  • Optional expenses such as attraction admission tickets
  • Overtime beyond the booked hours: NT$400–800 per hour
  • Night surcharge (for use between 22:00–06:00): +20%
  • Second child safety seat: NT$200 (first seat provided free)

The price you see is the final price — drivers will never charge you anything not itemized on your quote.

4. Payment

A 30% deposit is due when your booking is confirmed, with the balance settled the day before your trip via credit card, LINE Pay, or bank transfer. Business clients may apply for a monthly billing arrangement and request an official invoice for expense reporting.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancel 7 or more days before departure: full deposit refund
  • Cancel 3–7 days before departure: 70% deposit refund
  • Cancel within 72 hours of departure: deposit is non-refundable
  • If a trip cannot proceed due to a typhoon or other natural disaster, refund arrangements will be handled on a case-by-case basis

6. Itinerary Changes

Within reason (and within your originally booked hours), your driver will flexibly adjust the route and stops to your needs on the day. If your trip runs beyond the booked hours, overtime is billed at NT$400–800 per hour, settled in cash on the day.

7. Requesting a Driver and Language Needs

You may request a specific driver by name at the time of booking, and we will do our best to accommodate this based on vehicle scheduling. We offer Mandarin/English/Japanese/Korean-speaking drivers — let us know your language needs when booking so we can arrange the right match.

8. Child Seats and Special Needs

Under Taiwan law, children under 4 must use a child safety seat; the first is provided free, with a second available for NT$200. If you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, let us know when booking so we can arrange a vehicle with extra trunk space, with driver assistance as needed.

9. Vehicles and Drivers

Our entire fleet consists of legally registered R-plate or T-plate commercial vehicles, each insured for NT$30 million in passenger liability coverage — you're covered the moment you board. All drivers hold a professional license and a clean criminal background check, available for your review on request.

10. Passenger Responsibilities and Conduct

Passengers must follow standard safety practices (e.g. wearing seatbelts at all times) and take reasonable care of any accompanying minors or passengers with reduced mobility. We and our drivers are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings, or for delays or early termination of a trip caused by passenger misconduct, and amounts already paid will not be refunded in such cases.

11. Limitation of Liability

For delays or service failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, traffic control, flight delays or cancellations, etc.), we will do our best to help you rearrange your trip, but we are not liable beyond the coverage provided by passenger liability insurance. Our total liability for any trip is limited to the fees actually paid for that trip, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

12. Intellectual Property

All text, images, logos, and page design on this website are owned by us or our licensors unless otherwise noted, and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without permission.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any dispute arising from these services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court, Taiwan, as the court of first instance.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Bookings made after an update are governed by the updated Terms; bookings already confirmed remain governed by the Terms in effect at the time of booking.
